I have been led to the town of Constantinople in order to fight for the re-capturing of Jerusalem. Those bloody Muslims don't know what is coming to them. Now, need not to worry about me. I will be back soon. You know surely that I am a strong enough man for this journey. There are many men with me, maybe about ten thousand. They have put me in the front of the pack, making the way to Nicea. I'm sure that our battles there won't be too difficult. I will miss you, Mother, as well as Curtis, Summer and all others that I may forget to mention. I promise you this: I WILL be back in time for Father's interment. Wish me luck, and pray for me and the brave men that are with me.
