Life in the Middle Ages Connor O.
My name is Bartholomew, I am a soldier in the Army here in England. I have been fighting for almost 10 years, and now my service is finally done. there are many things that a can remember about fighting in war. I think that the thing I will remember most will be that armor that I wore while fighting. There was an endless process to getting equipped for battle. First I would have to put on all of my chain mail; it might seem light but when you are covered in it it feels a lot heavier than you think it would. After the chain mail I would put on my breast plate; this would be hard because it would have to squeeze extremely hard to get in. I do not regret wearing my breast plate because one time in battle a barbarian threw me off of my horse and then he slammed his hammer into my chest, but my breast plate protected me. The last thing that was bothersome was putting on my helm. The application of my helm was the most painful, whenever I would put it on I would get cuts on my face and my hair pulled out it there were and damages or imperfections on the helm, but that does not mean i did not like it. My helm has saved my head many times from wildly swinging swords. With out the armor I had during battle I would not be alive today.
