Sword in Battle

As the warrior approaches me, I stand strong in my captains hands. I've just been freshly sharpened and cleaned and I am ready to help my country win this battle. As the warriors gets even closer I am raised and slashed the other soldiers sword. We stand at a stalemate for a few seconds before I get pulled off. With no injuries yet, and hatred between the two sides, I knew that I needed to make an impact. I was thrusted into the enemies side, shedding mass amounts of blood. I knew he had been wounded badly for he didn't get up for awhile. Once he did, my master did not relent one bit. He took me and swung me around, doing devastated damage to the enemies hands. His fingers were gone and all he had left was his off hand. We both knew this will end well. As he lay on the ground with no signs of getting up, I was plunged into the enemies chest. Our job had been completed. With this we started our long journey home to where I knew I would finally get some much needed rest.
